Purchased this camera as a Father's Day present and he is impressed! It was shipped from Adorama in excellent condition and on time. It arrived on June 10th, 2009 and to date, he has taken over 2000 photos in order to learn more about the Rebel and it's features. It's a rare occasion he leaves the house without. I'm not into photography, but if he say's it's Awesome, then that's all I need to know.
I must admit, the photos from his old Point & Shoot don't even compare. At night, he's raving about the different types of lenses to purchase(mainly L series..must be hinting at his Christmas present) and the technical stuff about ISO, aperture, etc. My daughter and I, sigh, UT OH time for Canon class again...lol..
If you love photography, buy it! If there is someone in your life who love photography and is worth the money, put a big Joker grin on their face!
As a bonus gift, we printed out the Rebel's user manual and put it in a nice 3 ring binder, with sleeves for note pads. As we peep through the window looking onto our deck, there he is with binder, camera, and shooting away.
