A very good battery for the money. It's half the price of the Canon battery and works just as well and can be changed using the Canon changer. This means you can always have a charged battery when using you camera!

It says it's 1800mAh, but in reality it is more like a 800mAh LiOn. You can get a 800mAh for half the price of this fake 1800mAh. The other clue is the weight of the battery. With the same technology a higher capacity battery will weight more. It's just basic physic and chemistry. This battery actually weights slightly less than the real Canon battery. That should clue you in that it's no where near the false claim of 1800mAh. I missed my 30-day window to return this and in use this really is not much better than any 800mAh battery. But alas it does work.

Not sure if it has more or less battery life than the original Canon but from the 2 or 3 times I have used it, it lasted just fine for 200-300 pictures without showing any drop in the battery meter on the Canon T1i that I have.

These cells lasts about as long as the Canon OEM battery, even though the mAH rating on them is higher than the mAH rating on the Canon OEM batteries. That's okay, since these cells cost less than half the price of their OEM counterpart from Canon. These Opteka Li-ion battery packs are a real bargain! Definitely recommended!
