The build quality is good.
I tried on 18-55 & 55-250 lens.
I think its fully worth the money spent.

You can spend hundreds or thousands of dollars in a macro lens, or you can spend less than $10 to turn your current lens into a macro lens. It's a good way to start playing with macro photography without spending a lot of money.
This thing is really easy to use: adjust it to your camera, then take your lens reverse it and insert it. Using your lens for macro photography is another deal: as it is reversed, you don't have autofocus, everything is manual. You might also want to get a tripod, as focusing small objects is hard.
So, in conclusion, if you're thinking of trying out macro photography, buy this first (if you already own a "normal" lens). I'm guessing that if you'll like it, you'll be buying a good macro lens in a few months....but if you don't like macro photography, your mistake will only cost you a few dollars.

I mainly use this for photographing cannabis, and i have to say for 10 dollars you get a macro thats as good as a lens devoted to such things, but the ring is cheap, easy to use, and very convenient to bring around, I love it and wouldnt ever give it up

I purchased this adapter because I had an old EF-S 18-55mm lens lying around unused. This reverse mount adapter has saved this old lens from uselessness. I'm now able to use this old EF-S lens on a full-frame 5D MkII camera as my macro lens. With this adapter I'm able to try my hand at nearly 1:1 macro photography without spending wads of cash on professional-level equipment.
The downsides for me are the fixed aperture and the incredibly short focus distance of just a couple inches. Of course the lens is now manual focus only, but even with my cheap lens focusing is easy because the depth of field is very short.

Good, solid construction and easy to screw on to my Rebel XSi. The only complaint I have is its limited use - I didn't realize that it would only focus on things about an inch and a half away. Still, I use it often. Very narrow depth of field.
