Haven't used it beyond testing out the simple functionality but it does in fact do what its supposed to. It appears well built and sturdy enough. Cord could be longer but it's fine for my purposes. I knew the length when I bought it and could always get an extender if I felt the need.
I like the shape and button location better then the ones with the button on the tip.

I got this for my Canon 450D as I'm fairly interested in doing night photography. I looked through the wireless remotes, but I needed something inexpensive to just reduce camera motion on long exposure shots.
I tested the remote release on my camera right after I got it out of the packaging and it works great. There's a bit more resistance on the button between focus and shutter, so it's pretty easy for me to control. The hold function is also nice for bulb type shots.

Exactly what I was looking for. I am using the camera for photo duplication with a portable stand in libraries, this remote works perfectly.

It works but I its hard to find the button if I'm in a hurry.
If I had to do it all over again I'd buy the Canon with the button on the end.

This shutter release works flawlessly,I only give it 4 stars because the 3' length is too short.You can get extentions for these at a reasonable price (3.99 plus shipping for a 12')
