Should have listened to that inner voice. Performance was wonky and unreliable. Had to send it back. Should not have sacrificed price for quality. Stick with the brand name Canon version. Cord failed during a wedding shoot. I had redundancy but it was still aggravating.

Its ok cord. But it broke after I used it 2 times + it's too short. If u ll buy it dont throw box away because there is 1 year warranty ( u ll need it). But better to buy longer one.

The cord's coiled wire is too tight preventing it stretching the advertised length. After a few stretched the cord's insulation broke apart from the camera end of the unit. It was no longer reliable after that. I guess you get what you pay for.

I am very hesitant when it comes to my Canon equipment to purchase a third party product... especially when it comes to electronic interfaces. Some cheaper versions will, perhaps not right away, but over time cause issues because of poorly regulated electric current, etc. Otherwise, the fit and finish is somewhat off and lesser than the brand name accessories.
But that is not the case with this cable. The fit and finish is superb, the quality measure up to the Canon brand name cable, but this costs far less, as I believe it should. The price of the Canon cable borders on absurd, and while for such a small cable I think even this one could come down in price a bit, at least I am saving money on a quality product.

I have one of these babies and have used it with no problems for a few months.
What amazes me is how one user will say how junky it is while so many others have flawless use from it. That means either there are different suppliers to build it or some users are extremely hard on their cords, like those who will stretch it to the maximum length which of course will cause stress on the connection and will definitely cause it to fail eventually. Of course any product can arrive DOA or fail prematurely regardless of the brand it is.
